British Championship Success for Phoenix Martial Arts
Phoenix Martial Arts proudly competed in the British Championships on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, held in Cheltenham. This event boasted a record-breaking 350 entrants, showcasing an exceptional level of talent across all categories.
A shining star of the day was 14-year-old Jasmine Roux-Nel, who claimed the title of British Champion. This remarkable achievement caps off an extraordinary two-year competition season, during which Jasmine was named the Girls Black Belt Competitor of the Season. Despite missing the first tournament of the season due to not yet being a black belt, Jasmine has consistently demonstrated her skill and determination. Competing in the challenging 14-17 year old heavyweight category, she continues to dominate and inspire.
The Phoenix Martial Arts team also delivered an incredible performance, bringing home six silver and two bronze medals from a squad of 15 competitors. With such a large field and exceptional competition, these results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and skill of the entire team.
We are immensely proud of our members and the support they’ve shown one another throughout the event. Congratulations to Jasmine and the whole Phoenix team for their phenomenal achievements!
