Chief Instructor of Phoenix Martial Arts in Swindon, Mr John Newman, travelled to Cornwall to deliver a Global Taekwondo International (GTI) Instructor Course for nine aspiring instructors.
Throughout the day, trainees were guided through essential elements of running Taekwondo classes, including health and safety protocols, safeguarding procedures, lesson planning, different learning styles, and effective teaching methods. They also discussed how to manage common situations that may arise when instructing martial arts classes.
All participants were fully engaged and eager to learn, taking their first steps on the path to becoming certified instructors. Each trainee will now begin putting these new skills into practice and must demonstrate their competence in real class settings before receiving final sign-off.
